I could spend forever in the presence of God! When you truly take the time out of your day to focus completely on Him, He shows up and overwhelms you with His presence! As a youth ministry we have just begun 21 Days of Prayer in which we are all setting aside an hour of our day to focus on God and wait for Him to show up! I can’t wait to see what happens during this time b/c God is already overwhelming me with the greatness of who he is!
In my prayer and quiet time this morning I read a verse in Psalm 17:15 “As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.”
I am challenging myself and all of you participating in this time of prayer to get before God and ask him to reveal anything in your life that is not right before him. What things do we need to cut out, thoughts, relationships, habits, whatever? Then as we come before God with a righteous heart ( a heart that is right before God) we will see his face! How amazing to be caught in the presence of the Most High God! The next part of the verse is amazing too. It says, when I awake, I will be satisfied with your likeness or your presence.
Satisfaction is something all of us our searching for. Everyone wants to feel satisfied. That is what the entire advertising world markets to; our need for satisfaction. How incredible would it be to wake up in the morning and go through our entire day feeling completely satisfied with every area of our life because of the presence of God? This is what our world needs, this is what we need!
Let’s take this 21 days to get into the presence of God, seek his face, find satisfaction and then let’s take it and show the world what they are looking for. We are history makers and this is the time! God is ready to move and pour out His spirit on a hungry and broken generation. Are you ready to experience Him like never before and walk in the fullness of your purpose? I am!
